Amy Hastanan, L.Ac, LMT has over 16 years of experience in the field of Complimentary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). She began her career in NY, acquiring experience from luxury spa’s such as Shibui at The Greenwich Hotel and Setai WallStreet. Eventually she left the spa environment to further her interests in medically oriented dee tissue therapeutics. She found a wonderful team at Physiologic NYC, working alongside chiropractors and pilates-based physical therapists. Amy later furthered her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine at PCOM and eventually transferred to Hawai’i where she completed her degree at ICAOM.

Amy’s knowledge and expertise in the fields of massage and acupuncture make her unique in her own field. Not many carry dual licensure and practice both actively.

In addition, Amy is a NCBTMB Certified Sarga Bodywork Instructor and owner of The Manoa House, a multi-practitioner wellness space.

Amy offers consultations to individuals/sole proprietors and businesses. Due to increased volume of inquiries, Amy is offering advice by phone as well as site visits and staff consultations and trainings.

Rate: $150/pr hour

Massage Therapy: Pursuing a degree and where to start, experience and acquiring skills for practice, scheduling patient/clients, filling your books, continuing education, contracts, training etc.

Acupuncture: The road of (dual) licensure, how to build a (dual) practice, education and schools, continuing education etc.

Private practice: Starting a business, expanding, independent contractor versus employee, hiring staff versus renting space to other practitioners, business strategies, setting boundaries/patient/client/work/life.

Business Consultations | Staff Training: Consults and trains are tailored to your needs. I offer two types of services in this category:

• Informal refinement “mentorship”

• Formal “course training”

Informal “mentorship” start with an assessment of practical hands-on or barefoot skills. Personalized mentoring will help accelerate proficiency in deep tissue and/or Sarga Bodywork. The goal is to refine what has already been learned from a previous course or practice. In some cases a site visit for Sarga Bodywork set up can be arranged.

Formal “course” training is a set format determined by Sarga Bodywork. Private course trains for spas or wellness centers can be scheduled with Amy in advance, have a minimum student requirement, specific course outline and cost structure.
